Gold, silver and diamond each possess their own weight, colour, structure and relationship with light. We choose the material according to the character each piece is intended to have.
No material exists simply as an upgrade or an alternative.
Each has a reason to be there.

Gold has been shaped into personal objects for thousands of years.
Its warmth, permanence and ability to take precise form make it central to the PRECIOUS ATOM material language.
We work with different gold purities so each object can achieve the right balance of colour, strength, weight and presence.
9K GOLD
37.5% pure gold
9K gold offers a restrained expression of precious metal with increased alloy content.
It is suited to pieces designed around strength, accessibility and everyday character.
Available in selected PRECIOUS ATOM creations.
14K GOLD
58.5% pure gold
14K gold sits between durability and precious-metal richness.
Its balance makes it particularly versatile for contemporary jewellery intended to be worn frequently.
18K GOLD
75% pure gold
18K gold contains a higher proportion of pure gold, giving it greater richness, depth and unmistakable warmth.
It represents our most precious expression of gold and will be used selectively throughout the House.

925 STERLING SILVER
92.5% pure silver
Sterling silver offers a different expression of preciousness.
Cooler. Brighter. More graphic.
Its reflective surface lends itself particularly well to sculptural and contemporary forms.
PRECIOUS ATOM uses 925 sterling silver for selected pieces where its colour, weight and character are integral to the design.
Like all genuine silver, its surface may naturally change over time. This is part of the behaviour of the material and can be restored through appropriate care.
06 — C — DIAMOND
LAB-GROWN DIAMONDS
Diamond begins with carbon.
Lab-grown diamonds have the same fundamental carbon crystal structure as mined diamonds and are created under controlled conditions that reproduce the environment in which diamond forms.
For PRECIOUS ATOM, diamond is not used simply for decoration.
We are interested in:
LIGHT
How a stone captures and returns it.
PROPORTION
How the scale of a stone relates to the object.
GEOMETRY
How different cuts create structure and rhythm.
PLACEMENT
How a diamond becomes part of the form rather than something added to it.
Selected pieces may feature different diamond shapes, proportions and arrangements according to the design.
COLOUR OF GOLD
Where a design permits, PRECIOUS ATOM may work across:
YELLOW GOLD
Warm, elemental and unmistakably precious.
WHITE GOLD
Cooler and more architectural in character.
ROSE GOLD
A softer expression with subtle warmth.
Not every design will necessarily be offered in every metal colour.
The material should serve the object, not simply multiply options.
SURFACE
The same metal can feel entirely different depending on how its surface is treated.
A highly polished surface reflects its surroundings.
A softer finish absorbs more light.
An edge may appear sharp and architectural while a curved surface can feel almost liquid.
Finishing is therefore part of the design itself.
PRECIOUS ATOM pieces may use polished, satin or other considered surface treatments according to the intended form.
MATERIAL WITH PURPOSE
We do not believe that more material automatically creates more luxury.
Luxury can exist in restraint.
In proportion.
In the weight of an object.
In the way two surfaces meet.
In the amount of metal surrounding a stone.
In what has deliberately been removed.
Every PRECIOUS ATOM piece begins by asking one question:

CARE & LONGEVITY
Precious materials are durable, but they are not indestructible.
Gold and silver can acquire marks through wear.
Silver may naturally tarnish.
Polished surfaces can develop a softer patina.
Diamonds are extremely hard, but settings and surrounding metal still require care.
We recommend storing jewellery separately, avoiding unnecessary contact with harsh chemicals and periodically checking frequently worn pieces.
Detailed care guidance will accompany PRECIOUS ATOM creations where appropriate.
